Serving the Catholics of Skipton, Craven and the Dales
Friday 14 September 7.30 pm
Skipton Ladies Choir was formed over 20 years ago and still has some original members including their musical director Glynn Evans. Their ages currently range from 18 to 89 and they sing a wide variety of music with something for most tastes. Their repertoire spans many centuries, composers arrangers and styles.
While the tradition of male voice choirs is strong, female groups are plentiful and the popularity of Gareth Malone with the Military Wives shows how uplifting assembled female voices can be.
On Fiday 14 September 2012 they were joined by members of the St Stephen’s school choir led by Siobhan Keeley. After the concert there were refreshments in the Easter Room.
