"We declare to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life." 1 John 1:1
The Year of the Word is being kept in our country from the beginning of Advent this year, until January 2021. The theme is God Speaks and there will be various initiatives and opportunities to reflect more on the Word of God.

St Matthew's Gospel Unlocked
A great project has been completed, to assemble many voices in the diocese to read and record St Matthew's Gospel from start to finish.
Of the 150 contributors, eight are from St Stephen’s Parish, each reflecting a different aspect of our community’s diversity and richness.
The result is 11 beautifully produced podcasts of roughly equal length, ready for listening here
You can follow the text here
Window on the Word
Anyone in the Diocese is welcome to take a photo (or, a photo of a drawing) of something which they can see from their window which reminds them of a verse of Scripture.
Those already submitted can be found here
